THE ORIGINAL BATTLE ROYALE

A player in armour near a structure with a blue crystal-like roof and stone columns, with colourful flames and an explosion nearby. Trees and other structures can be seen in the background behind a partially transparent barrier.

1

History

Right as the game reached version 1.0, Minecraft's most iconic minigame, Survival Games, began to take shape. Here, some of the game's most iconic structures were added for players to explore, from friendly villages to treacherous temples.

Alongside these structures came new biomes, and we've given them the spotlight, constructing the entire arena out of some familiar locations.

How to play

A desert pyramid, with a desert village around it. With various cacti, dead bushes, and hay bales dotted between structures.

2

The Basics

The classic Battle Royale! Last team standing wins! All players are let free to roam the map, trying to become more powerful through finding equipment hidden in loot chests scattered across the map. As the timer ticks down, the edges of the world converge into the centre, forcing you to fight for survival.

Two players in armour stood around crates stacked on hay bales, with village in the background.

3

Loot

Weapons, food and armour can be found scattered around the map in chests. The further you get from the centre, the better the loot gets. Be sure to check in buildings and structures - not every chest will be grab and go!

4

Airdrops

Throughout the game, players will be able to earn extra coins by finding and fighting for Airdrop Crates. These are indicated by a beacon beam shining high into the sky.

Once the beacon turns green, players will be able to mine the airdrop crate for a significant amount of coins.

The Border

At the end of the game, there can only be one winner. The border will squeeze all the players down to a small area at the centre. If you get caught in the border, you'll start taking damage!

Once the border has reached its smallest, we start overtime, where we steadily reduce the max health of all players until one team is left alive.

6

Scoring

Coins are awarded from opening airdrop crates, surviving and eliminating other players.

  • 180 coins from breaking open an airdrop crate, shared amongst the team.
  • 3 coins every time another player is eliminated and you're still alive.
  • 65 coins for personal eliminations.

Teams are also given a placement based on how long their team survived, with coins being shared amongst the team.

  • 1st: 650 coins
  • 2nd: 600 coins
  • 3rd: 560 coins
  • 4th: 520 coins
  • 5th: 480 coins
  • 6th: 450 coins
